I shot my first Trash the Dress in Falmouth Kentucky thanks to Cindy Wagner of Wagner Photographics and Maggie (Bride).  We all met on land owned by Maggie’s family late in the afternoon.

The first location was an old farm house that hadn’t been lived in for 30 years.  The paint was peeling off the walls and dust was in the air.

Maggie’s makeup was perfect thanks to Chenese Bean!  She and I worked on the same events over a period of three days and never interacted.  In our correspondence via email we booth laughed about the absurdity of running into each three days in a row.

After we finished shooting in the house we went outside to shoot in the fields with the horses.  The light at sunset was perfect! We got shots of the warm sun on top of the second highest point in the entire area.  The shots looked so good in camera that I joked that the video would almost edit itself.

It might have been an exaggeration, but I’ll let the viewers be the judge when it goes online in November.  It will be posted on the website and on YouTube.

The final shots during daylight hours ended up being a spontaneous thing.  Maggie (bride) had a bale of hay with a bull’s eye painted on it.  Cindy and I got great shots of Maggie showing off her archery skills.  The shots speak for themselves.

As the sun began to fall the entourage packed up and traveled north to downtown Cincinnati to conclude the shoot at Fountain Square.   Maggie at this point was firing off poses like she was an experienced fashion model.  I revolved around the fountain with a Steadicam while Maggie held a pose.  Later she splashed in the water as the photographers and I shot in delight.

I felt so honored to be a part of Cindy’s TTD shoot.  I am working with another bride in about a week to do another TTD.   For the upcoming shoot I am going to push the unusual…
